Compassionate appointment during Extension
Government of Punjab, Department of Punjab(Finance Personnel-2 branch) have issued a clarification regarding giving compassionate appointments to the heirs of a government employee if he dies during extension in service by their letter no. 22/2/2012-3FP2/152 dated 21-10-2014. In this letter the department of Finance cleared that the service of a government employee or a class of government employees have been extended for one year by substituting rule 3.26 of Punjab civil service rules volume-1 part-1. Letter No.22/2/2012-3FP2/471 dated 20-09-2013 and letter no. 22/2/2012-3FP2/475 dated 08-10-2012 have been already issued in this regard. Government instructed that if an employee dies during the extended period of service then his or her legal heir will not be considered for appointment on compassionate grounds.
