SAS solved question-3

                        Hello, everyone. As we have already said in our previous post of leave salary and pension contribution that we will solve a practical question on it. We are receiving so many emails and messages that please provide more SAS solved questions so that they could get some knowledge from that to crack SAS.

                         So for the help of those aspirants, we are going to publish another SAS question. This question was came in Punjab State SAS Examination Part-I in July 2015 Punjab Civil service rules paper. This question was of 15 marks and was very easy. In this question, we will work out the Pension contribution and leave salary contribution. Without wasting more time let's start our question:-

Question: Work out the Pension Contribution and Leave Salary Contribution payable by the foreign employer from the following particulars in respect of Group 'A' officer of the Punjab Government who was sent on foreign service to an autonomous body:-

1. Date of Birth                                                    07-05-1967
2. Date of joining in Govt. Service                   01-12-1985
3. He was drawing pay Rs. 26690+5000 Grade Pay w.e.f 01-12-2009 in the pay band of Rs. 10300-34800+5000 Grade pay which was further revised to Rs. 15600-39100+5400 Grade Pay w.e.f 01-12-2011.
4. The period of foreign service was for 2 years.
5. Relieved from Govt. Service on 01-07-2012 FN and joined the autonomous body on 8-7-2012 AN after availing joining time.
6. Remained on earned leave from 01-06-2013 to 31-08-2013 and 01-04-2014 to 30-04-2014.
7. Relinquished charge in the office of an autonomous body on 30-06-2014 AN and joined the parent office on the same day.

Ans:            The Pension contribution and leave salary contribution payable by the foreign employer is Rs. 1,33,331/- and Rs. 57,895/- respectively calculated as follows:-

                 As we know rates of monthly contributions for pension payable during the active foreign service are according to the length of service and also as per group A,B,C and D. So Pension Contribution is:-

                    Also, we know the rates of monthly contributions for the pension payable during the active foreign service in respect of government employee is 11% of pay drawn in foreign service. Here pay means basic pay. So Leave salary contribution is calculated as follows:-

First of all we will fix the pay:-

            01-12-2009        26690+5000 = 31690/-    Pay as on 01-12-2009

            01-12-2010        27650+5000 = 32650/-    Annual Increment 4.9(a)

            01-12-2011        27650+5400 = 33050/-    Scale Revised

            01-12-2011        28650 +5400 = 34050/-    Annual Increment

            01-12-2012        29680+5400 = 35080/-    Annual Increment

            01-12-2013        30740+5400 = 36140/-    Annual Increment
