Family Planning Allowance |
On the recommendations of fifth Punjab pay commission Government of Punjab, Department of Personnel(Finance Personnel Branch-II) issued instructions regarding Family Planning allowance by its letter no.3/3/2010-5FP2/215 Dated:21-05-2010 and these instructions became effective with effective from May 1st,2010.
Key points of these instructions are as follows:-
- Family Planning Allowance is admissible only to employees of Group C and D.
- FPA is admissible to an employee equal to the amount of one increment on revised basic pay subject to a minimum of Rs.210.
- FPA is admissible to an employee equal to two increments if he or she restricts the number of children to two girls only.
- If any employee already drawing FPA before 01-05-2010 then he shall continue to be drawn subject to a minimum of Rs.210 with effect from 01-05-2010.
- It is also clarified that if an employee has adopted small family norms between 01-01-2006 to 30-04-2010 then he will also continue to draw FPA equal to the amount of one increment on revised basic pay subject to a minimum of Rs.210 with effect from 01-05-2010.

To get family planning allowance what document are required to be submitted in the office?
ReplyDeleteMany emloyees are submitting only an affidavit that they have only two children to get Family Planning Allowance. But according to me a certificate issued by civil surgeon regarding vasectomy or tubectomy is required to be submitted. Kindly clear my point.
